The Power of Story

As the last of the delicious cupcakes disappeared, a hush descended on the 70 strong crowd in the Deloitte building in Dublin’s Earlsfort Terrace as they gathered to hear Media and Communications Coach, Cilian Fennell of Stillwater Communications speak about “The Power of Story”.

Cilian is one of the most experienced TV Producers and one of the most sought-after media coaches in Ireland. His talk focused on the Irish media, how to develop strong clear messages for media and on how the use of “story” is the most powerful tool to get your message across. His talk was peppered with stories from his days producing ‘The Late Late Show’, ‘Rip off Republic’ with Eddie Hobbs and his years working as Head of Programmes for TG4.

He went on to explain the various story archetypes and explained how they work and why they connect to mass audience all over the world. He finished his talk with the “The Heroes Journey” regarded by many as the most powerful story of all. Everyone went home after a very stimulating, thought provoking and very inspiring evening. We would like to thank Deloitte for hosting such a special event for us.

Network Dublin Takes to The Seas!

On June the 24th Lorraine Quinn from The Royal Caribbean Cruise ship hosted 26 members of Network Dublin to a tour of the wonderful cruise ship The Jewel of The Sea followed by a mouth-watering lunch. We would like to thank Lorraine for this fabulous experience where we had such a good time and got an idea of what a cruise is all about! So enjoyable was the experience that one of our members from that day has already booked a cruise. Lorraine has given a very special offer to Dublin members which is on our website under Benefits
