January 2009
The O’Callaghan Davenport Hotel was the place to be on the evening of Wednesday 21st January as 70 women gathered for our first event of the year. Network Dublin President Mary Kershaw welcomed members and guests and also introduced a 10 minute structured networking session facilitated by Tricia Murphy. Our congratulations to Sarah Bird of sarah121.com who made the “Most interesting discovery” during our structured networking, having given former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher a facial!

Pictured at the Davenport hotel Dublin on 21st January 2008, women’s network meeting, from the top, were Veronica, Lotte Lyne and Anne-Marie Graham; Jennifer O'Brien, Margaret and Linda Whitarer; Rene Synnott, Karen Murphy and Sheila Mulcahy

This was followed by speaker for the evening Paula Mee who gave a stimulating and informative talk on nutrition and what we should be eating... definitely plenty of food for thought – thanks Paula.

A particular highlight of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for €4,000 to Tricia Murphy on behalf of Aids Partnership with Africa (www.apa.com). This was the money raised from the Christmas luncheon raffle- many thanks to all our members and guests who gave so generously to this cause.
