“InterTradeIreland’s attention was drawn to Malones as a result of the article in The Sunday Times, instigated by Rose Costello who I met at my first Network meeting back in May' said Liz.

Learn to relax in a busy world

In the fading autumn sunshine, there was a detectable air of anticipation as more than eighty ladies gathered in the impressive surroundings of the Guinness Storehouse for our final My Work event of 2007.

Having enjoyed tempting canapés and wine and lively networking, guests made thier way upstairs for a truly relaxing and enjoyable presentation by Deirdre Ahern and Claire Pilling, co-managers of Chrysalis.

Feeling the stresses of the day gradually disappear, Deirdre and Claire guided us through simple relaxation techniques with the accompaniment of calming music and thought-provoking poetry and prose. As part of 10 Strategies for Managing Stress in our lives, we were advised to 'change your attitude and you change your day' and to laugh - the more often we laugh, the healthier and happier we are!

As the restful evening came to a close, Network Dublin President, Leanne Papaiannou extended heartfelt thanks to all who'd made it possible: our speakers Claire Pilling and Deirdre Ahern, the Guinness Storehouse, our reception sponsor, Claire O'Callaghan of Surpass Business Consulting and Eva Acton of Floral Expressions who created a stunning floral arrangement - won by a delighted Margaret Kavanagh, AIB.
