Dear Kerry,

As autumn arrives and work schedules get busier, what better time to learn how to deal more effectively with the stresses of life? For our final My Work event of 2007, we invite you to join us for an un-missable evening presentation of practical, simple tips to destress, relax and promote ease and wellbeing.

We are delighted to welcome Deirdre Ahern and Claire Pilling, Co-Managers of the Chrysalis Holistic Centre in Donard, Co Wicklow, to host this month's event. Chrysalis was founded in 1989 and is dedicated to personal development; health and wellbeing; and spirituality.

Deirdre has worked for 20 years in television production and since then has enjoyed a freelance career as a personal development/stress management facilitator and life coach. Claire has helped develop Chrysalis for 16 years, having previously spent 10 years in London working in publishing and PR before downshifting to Ireland for the good life.

By the end of the evening we will have learnt strategies that could really make a difference to the quality of our everyday life. Deirdre and Claire will offer us food for thought and inspiration, all served up with some fun and lots of encouragement to take it easy!

For a truly insightful evening - Click I'll be attending to RSVP and we'll see you on the Wednesday the 19th September.

Summer Afternoon of Fun

As always, this event fully lived up to the heading ‘Summer Afternoon of Fun’. We arrived at Fisher’s of Newtownmountkennedy at 1:30 and Becci Birchall was there to warmly greet us with pink champagne, freshly squeezed fruit juices and delicious canapés.

Members took full advantage of the time allowed for shopping with their 10% discount and the sales assistants were very generous with their time in helping to select the right outfit for each person.

After the enjoyable ‘retail therapy’ we proceeded to the Buttery Café for a delicious buffet lunch of poached salmon, country baked ham, quiches and beautifully prepared salads and, of course, more bubbly! And the desserts - let’s just say it’s a good thing we shopped before lunch!

Louise Murtagh of Murtagh Fashion Consulting gave an entertaining presentation about the trends for the coming season.  Ably assisted by the sales team of Fisher’s, Louise pointed out all the dos and don’ts for women of every age, shape and size.

Our sincere thanks to Network Dublin members, Becci Birchall and Jane Harrison for providing this beautiful venue, the pink champagne and goodie bags for all the attendees. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and I’m sure all present will be making return trips to this stunning shop located just 30 minutes from Dublin.
