The Annual Story Book
A little shower of rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of
over 90 women who turned out in style for our Annual Story Book held
in one of Ireland’s most prestigious addresses, No 6 Kildare Street, home of the
Royal College of Physicians. Members and guests were treated to
delicious canapés and Mary O’Driscoll of Arrivas Training &
Development was very generous in sponsoring the
beautiful wines for the evening.
Dublin President, Leanne Papaoiannou, introduced fellow South
African native, Adrian Birrell to take us through
his ‘story book’. Adrian is the former coach of the Irish Cricket
Team which recently competed in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
Ireland’s victory over fourth-ranked Pakistan on St. Patrick’s Day
has been described as ‘the biggest upset in World Cup history’.
Discipline and passion were two of the words used most often in
Adrian’s success story.
Adrian resigned his position as Head Coach to spend more time
with his young family and we wish him the best of luck in his
upcoming speaking engagements. Should you wish to book
Adrian for a talk, please email him on
adrian.birrell@gmail.com.
