Dear Leanne,
What a way to start the summer, with the June event taking place
in one of the most magnificent venues that we have
had the pleasure of being invited to - No. 6 Kildare
Street. For those of you who have not been to this
incredible venue, you are in for a treat, it is distinguished,
stylish and atmospheric and plays host to Network Dublin’s Annual
Story Book event. |
|
The Annual Story Book has been a popular event on our calendar
and gives us the opportunity to hear from men and women who have
excelled in their chosen fields or industries. This month we are
thrilled to welcome a gentleman who was responsible for the biggest
upset in Cricket World Cup history; Adrian Birrell the ex
Irish Cricket Coach.
‘Confidence & Belief ensure Ireland
claim historic victory’ Irish Times
We are getting used to reading headings like this for Munster,
Leinster or the Irish Rugby team, but how did Ireland even qualify
for the 2007 Cricket World Cup? Not only qualify but compete with
confidence, go on to beat the fourth ranked team Pakistan in a
pressure game on St Patrick’s Day. |
|
The answer could be found in the coach of the Irish team, Adrian
Birrell.
We are delighted to welcome Adrian to the June event where he
will share this success story with us and describe how it felt when
the comentators described the incredible elevation of the
Irish Cricket Teams Success as “the biggest upset in World Cup
history.“
Join us for this super event - click I’ll be attending to RSVP and we’ll see you on the
Wednesday the 20th June 2007. Please RSVP as soon as
possible to reserve your place. Non members are welcome to
attend for a small fee of €20.
