Any self respecting lady would be happy with just one of these but all four add up to make a perfect summer afternoon! This years summer event will be held at Fishers which is located in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. Our speakers for the afternoon will be:

• Eoin McDonnell of Precious - The Beauty of Diamonds
• Rebecca Harrison of Fishers – The Importance of Accessories

Eoin McDonnell, former Chairman of The Jewellery Federation of Ireland has a long history in the jewellery industry in Ireland. He owns and runs Precious a small business specialising in sourcing rare and precious diamonds. Spend an afternoon of luxury, finding out about the many facets of diamonds. Eoin will guide you informally through the wonders of precious metals and superior precious diamonds. He will also show you some spectacular examples and how to spot the genuine article from a dud.

From the stunning pieces of diamond jewellery to scarves, hats and bags, Becci will guide you through the mine-field that is finding and wearing that perfect accessory; how to get the balance between showing off that perfect piece and it overpowering you.

Food and Wine

The Buttery Café at Fishers will be providing a cold summer buffet to compliment the sparkling diamonds and accessories which will include a selection of gourmet food with a melody of fine wines and speciality coffees. Fishers will sponsor the sparkling wine which will be available throughout the afternoon!

Getting There

We will be putting on a bus from Dublin city centre out to Wicklow and back again for those who might prefer to leave the car at home. The bus will be leaving from Bank of Ireland Head Quarters on Baggot Street at 12.30pm on Friday 18th August. The cost for the bus will be €10 per person

Annual Storybook

What an incredibly interesting evening the 2006 annual storybook was. With Joan Millar sharing her fascinating story of how she started her own Knitwear Designer label in 1982 by exporting the pure Irish woollen garments into France. Twenty Four years later and the Millar brand has extended into exporting worldwide and has expanded into children’s knitwear which is run by Joan’s daughter. Thank you Joan for sharing your wonderful story with us.

We also had the honour of hearing Denis.T.C. O’Brien tell his story of his 20 years as a concierge and his phenomenal journey of becoming the first International President of Les Clefs D’Or. Denis is living proof of how successful networking can propel your careers and business. Denis, we wish you all the best of luck with your Presidency and look forward to popping around to the Marriott Druids Glen Hotel to say hello.
