The Art of Feng Shui

Date | Wed, 19 April 2006
Time | 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm
Venue | Clarence Hotel, Dublin 2

Dear Leanne,

Many of us may be enduring more stress than is necessary in our daily lives. Our morale and general well-being can be affected by our home and work environments. The important thing to know is that there is help at hand!

The words "Feng Shui" will of course be familiar to many, but if you were asked to explain "Feng Shui" or to describe how it works, would you be able? Or at a loss for words?

The art of Feng Shui is about balancing the forces of Yin and Yang in the landscape and interior or built environment to create heavenly and earthly harmony. April's event is being hosted by Edel Cleary, a qualified Interior Designer and Feng Shui Practitioner. Edel is also Chairperson of the Ireland Eastern Regional Group of the Feng Shui Society UK.

Edel ran her own business for ten years as an Aromatherapist and Reflexologist and brings a wealth of knowledge to Network Dublin members on the exact meaning of "Feng Shui". Edel will offer advice on how best to furnish our homes and workplaces to promote less stressful lives and enhance creativity.

Book your place - click I'll be attending to RSVP and we'll see you on 19th April.

Would any of your friends or colleagues benefit from a little less stress in their lives? Then, invite them along. Guests are always welcome to attend for €20.

If you would like to take part, please register on the official website (www.womensminimarathon.ie ) by 25th April. The event will cost €34: official registration €14 and €20 for the Network Ireland Soap Star Charity. Please pay your charity money to Denise Fay, 087 834 2693.

International Women's Day at Leinster House| March 2006

last months event

March 8th saw the Network Dublin ladies enjoying International Women's Day at Leinster House.

It started with a tour of the Dáil Chamber and the Seanad. After a photo shoot on the plinth in front on Leinster House with Liz O’Donnell (TD), dinner was served in the Member’s dinning room and Mary O'Rourke dropped by to say hello!

After dinner, most of the group adjourned to the Members Bar of the Dáil and we also had the opportunity to return to the Chamber to witness a vote being taken.

The Progressive Democrat Party facilitated this invitation and introduced many of their TDs to the grouping. We would like to extend our thanks to the PDs for an extremely memorable afternoon and evening. As they say, ‘A good time was had by all!"
